The date today is written 01/01/10. Surprisingly, it would be written the same in Aussie and the States. This little bit of info caught my attention while I was vegging out recovering from a massive hangover. My New Years Eve celebrations were a bit much! I definitely hit the booze harder last night than I did on Christmas and I guarantee that I'm feeling it today (thank god I don't partake often in this kind if behaviour) lol.
I returned home this afternoon, to an empty house. My mother left at 6am this morning back to New Zealand and took my daughters with her for the next month. I've always wanted to have the house to myself but now, here I sit, all alone and I haven't figured out if I'm liking this or if I'm lonely and afraid. I'm pretty sure I could get used to this. I've dreamed of this kind of piece and quiet but it's never happened.
Late this afternoon, me and my husband, drove to the airport to retrieve my car. I let my mother drive it to the airport so that I could enjoy the New Years party and get smashed. What a fucken joke. I told my step dad to park it near Terminal 1, which was the first lot at the entrance. I guess he's deaf, cause he parked it in " Bum Fucked Egypt". I must have looked like a drug fucked crack hooker walking around the entire parking lot looking for my car. I finally found it. Took me nearly an hour, it was hot as hell and I was spitting mad!! I got the parking ticket and headed for the pay station, now remember that I was already mad, so I put the ticket into the machine and nearly exploded when I saw that it was $52 dollars. Next time I'm gonna make my mother call a taxi (I wouldn't really but I was so mad I thought it)
I made it home in time to watch the dropping of the New Years Eve ball in New York City. Of course watching this celebration sent my mind on a trip overseas. I couldn't stop thinking what kind of celebrations were going on at Mr. B's house and wondering if I was on his mind this year. My husband starting snoring and brought me back to reality real quick!
