What a way to begin the "New Year"  at work on our first day back. I'm barely awake and running late (thanks to the extra time needed to pop in my contact lenses). I'm going to have to adjust my alarm to accommodate the extra time needed now.

Once at work, I smoothly slipped onto the floor and managed to beat almost everyone else. I guess no else was in the mood to start back to work either. Today was our first shift back in 12 days, so we all had a lot to catch up on. Realising that there is officially less than one month in me and Glam's "Biggest Loser" contest, Glam asked me if I had been going to the gym (reading between the lines of course) I replied "Why?......do I look Skinner?" Glam then announced that she's stepped up to the "exercise plate" and is working out with Dev, and was moaning hard about her sore legs. So I decided to grill Dev (later in the day) to find out what kind of exercises they were doing (of course my strategy is to do the same kinds of exercises) So now I'm gonna have to counter her offence by stepping up to the plate myself. OH JOY!!
I'm hoping that I can achieve better results than Glam, because I'm an unfit old goose, and she's a young fit chicken. I'm hoping that she will need to work twice as hard as I do. I think she's gonna have to "Bring it" harder than me for the same results.

Most of today's conversations centred around New Years Resolutions. When asked, I stated that I didn't make one because I never stick to them anyway!! Of course most were to lose weight and get fit. Chromey asked me to "tell him" what I thought his resolution should be! (This was an odd request but interesting twist to the resolution thing) I replied that it's not a good idea to ask my opinion because I will give it to him undiluted!! He pressed for me to give him a resolution. So (reading between the lines again, lol) I told him that I thought more sex in his life was a great resolution! His next question was off the subject totally, but he asked how many times a week did I think he should be having sex. I replied without missing a beat "3 times or more a week" at his age. I also told him that his biggest hurdle in keeping his resolution was that he doesn't have a steady girlfriend to help achieve his goals. We had a good laugh and I told Chromey to make sure that he reports his progress to me monthly, (now that's some funny shit )lol

My "Dessie Diary Blog" was also a topic of conversation today. There seems to be a few people reading it! (I'm touched) And enjoying it (I aim to please, lol) I find it interesting that people enjoy my life experiences, but my stories seem to resonate the same feelings in most of the girls I talked to. They all seem to have the same types of dilemma's, in some form or another, in their own lives that they can relate to in my Blog. I like knowing that people feel comfortable telling me their dilemma's  and I like giving them my opinion. I know I'm a bit blunt, but if you want it straight and you ask for it straight..........then I'm gonna give it to you straight!! NO BULLSHIT!!
Anyone who has known me for a while will tell you that "Giving it to you straight with no Bullshit" is definitely a motto of mine!

After work, the G-Unit (this is our crews nickname) gathered in the parking lot to give Tupac a gift for his new born baby boy who was born in late December (I didn't catch his baby's name.....Sorry) I donated money towards the baby gift, but I had no idea what "We" were getting him. I must say the gift was adorable. It was a tiny, baby size pair of Puma High top basketball shoes,  and a slick dress shirt so "He Be Styling". Kudo's to the girls who bought the gift, very nice!!
