I decided to skip yesterdays blog because my day was a sleepy blur!! Plus, I wanted to fast forward to today because today happens to be Valentine's Day!!
"Valentine's Day" means a lot of different things, to a lot of different people, and is celebrated accordingly!! The dictionary also gives different definitions!! My dictionary defines Valentine's Day as a day for the exchange of tokens of affection.
The name 'Valentine' derives from the word 'Valens' which means (worthy). So this tells me that only "Worthy" people should receive or exchange tokens of affection. The bigger question is what is considered a "Token".
My dictionary says a 'Token' is something of sentimental value like a keepsake, relic, or souvenir, not a box of chocolates or a bunch of flowers, and definaty not a pair of red undies, hiding in a dresser drawer!! (this would be a'Gay Man's' version of a Valentine token, lol)
I believe that Valentine tokens should be from the heart, body, and soul!! Not something you can pick up at the local shops. 'Loving memories' and 'shows of affections' can be the perfect example of a sentimental keepsake. These displays of affection will stamp their lasting memories in your heart and mind for eternity.
Some men don't know how or what a woman really wants on this special day of love!! Therefore, they head to the shops for a bought display of affection, when what a woman is really hoping for, is for her man to organise for the kids to be cared for by Grandma, then a warm bath to be drawn, lit candles sprawled around the house, romantic music playing softly as he approaches her and gently removes her clothing, while caressing her with soft kisses. Followed by a hot passionate love making session. (if this isn't exactly your style, then modify it with whips, leather, chains, or a strap on dildo, whatever is needed.......to each his own!! Lol)
Love can be displayed in many ways, but only an exhausted orgasm can bring on the euphoric feelings of satisfaction. (I think an "Orgasm" is better than "Chocolate" any day!!)
My "Valentine's Day" started out like many past Valentine's Days. My husband approached me and questioned wether there was any money in our joint spending account (this just oozes with appeal). I knew exactly what he was planning. He does the exact same thing, every year. He was going to the shops to buy me a bunch of flowers and a loving card. While this may seem nice to some of you, the monotony of it gets very old after 20 years. (things would be so much better if we were millionaires.........I'm sure of it)
Well, he didn't disappoint!! However he did throw a small twist into the gift. Usually I receive 'Long Stemmed Red Roses' but today he surprised me with a bunch of my favourite flowers. (the fact that he remembered my favourite flower is a token in itself) I'll consider this my memorable token!!
He also served me, for afternoon tea, a Mexican version of "Caveach" which is a sensual prawn soup, which has an aphrodisiac affect on some people including me!! He's gone to sleep for the moment, but when he wakes up, I plan on giving him a token of my affection that will leave him with a definite lasting memory.
